By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between collector lamels. Resistance has to aspire to 0, i.e. the chain has to be closed (fig. 7.47).

If resistance between any lamels strives for infinity, i.e. the chain is opened, then replace an anchor.

Check whether there is no short circuit of a winding of an anchor on "weight". By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between lamels of the switchboard and the core of an anchor (fig. 7.48).

If resistance aspires to 0, i.e. the chain is closed, then replace an anchor.
