NOTE In the presence of a tester for check of the generator and the rechargeable battery connect it according to the instruction of manufacturer.

If there is no tester, do the following operations:

– disconnect a wire from a conclusion of the generator "B" and connect it to a negative conclusion of the ampermeter;

– connect a wire from a positive conclusion of the ampermeter to a conclusion "In" the generator (fig. 7.8).

Connect a positive conclusion of the voltmeter to a conclusion "In" the generator.

Connect a negative conclusion of the voltmeter to "weight".

Measure tension at the exit of the generator and current, since the frequency of rotation of idling and up to 2000 ^min.-1.

Current: no more than 10 And.

Tension at the exit: 13,2–14,8 Century.

If tension does not correspond to the specified limits, replace tension regulator.

Measure tension at the exit of the generator and current in a chain "the generator – the accumulator" at 2000 ^min.-1, the switched-on high beam headlamps and the switch of the fan of a heater in the provision of "HI".

Current: not less than 30 And.

If the size of current is less than specified size, then repair or replace the generator.

NOTE At completely charged rechargeable battery current of return can be less than the specified size.
