Check a belt of the drive of hinged units for wear and damages. At detection of defects replace a belt (fig. 7.4).
NOTE
Are not allowed peeling of rubber from a cord on internal (from crests) and external belt surfaces, stripping or damage of a cord, peeling of a crest from the rubber basis, existence of cracks, peeling or wear on side surfaces of a belt and on side surfaces of crests of a belt. If necessary replace a belt.

Check a belt tension. Tighten a bolt In, as shown in the figure 7.5, and measure a drive belt deflection.
Drive belt deflection:
new: 9,1–10,5 mm;
used: 11,0–13,5 mm.
NOTE
The term "used belt" belongs to the belt which worked more than 5 min.

If the new belt was established, check correctness of its landing on pulleys. Check a hand in the bottom of pulleys whether there is no free flute on a pulley (fig. 7.6).
After installation of a belt start the engine and let's it work within 5 min., and then again check a belt tension.
If necessary adjust a tension (deflection) of a belt of the drive.

Rotating adjusting bolts And yes With, adjust a belt tension, as shown in the figure 7.7.
Inhaling moment:
- bolt And: 17, 5 N · m;
- a bolt With: 58 N · m.
