6.13.1. Dismantling

NOTE
If the brake disk is removed hardly, scroll an adjusting gear wheel until the brake disk does not begin to rotate easily (fig. 6.62).

Measure the internal diameter of the brake drum (fig. 6.63).
If the drum has scratches, mechanical damages or the increased wear, then it can be chiseled to the most admissible internal diameter
Standard diameter: 170 mm
The most admissible: 171 mm

Release coupling springs of brake shoes of the parking brake (fig. 6.64).

Remove adjusting screws of brake shoes of the parking brake (fig. 6.65.)
Remove an expansion plate together with a spring.
Remove a spring of the holder, a saddle of a spring and the holder.
Disconnect a returnable spring and remove a forward block.
Delay a back block.
Remove a returnable spring from a back block.
Remove a spring of the holder, a saddle of a spring and the holder.
Disconnect a cable of the parking brake from the lever of the parking brake.

Remove a lock washer and the lever of the parking brake (fig. 6.66).
