6.12.1. Visual check of thickness of blocks
Check thickness of blocks. For this purpose lift the car, remove a wheel and look through a viewing opening in the cylinder case.
Minimum thickness of brake shoes: 1 mm.
Extreme wear: 2,0 mm.
Merge brake fluid.
Remove a forward wheel and temporarily fix a rim by two nuts.
Turn off a bolt and disconnect an arm of a brake hose.

Holding the directing fingers, turn off bolts of fastening of a support (fig. 6.48).

Lift a support and fix it by a wire (fig. 6.49).
Remove two antiskripny springs, two brake shoes, two antiskripny laying holding lamellar inserts.
NOTE
Antiskripny springs and the holding inserts can be reused only in case of their sufficient elasticity, lack of deformation, cracks, a rust and other malfunctions.

By means of the screw-driver with a thin sting remove indicators of wear of blocks (fig. 6.50).
Turn off a bolt of fastening and uncover a support a bracket.
Remove two brake shoes with antiskripny laying and two holding lamellar inserts.

Take the directing finger (fig. 6.51).

Turn off 2 bolts and remove the support case from a brake disk (fig. 6.52).

Using the screw-driver, remove a spring ring of a cover of the brake cylinder and a cover (fig. 6.53).
Place rags between the piston and the cylinder.

Using compressed air, remove the piston from the cylinder (fig. 6.54).
