The operating valve with a straight-line characteristic (fig. 4.15) consists of the C-valve, the pro-carved valve and the folding valve. These valves have a multilayered design and form a diaphragm. At low speeds of the piston oil passes through cuts of valves, than linear damping is reached (see fig. 4.16).

Use of the operating valve with a straight-line characteristic allowed to provide linear change of force of damping at low speeds of the piston, thus the car behaves more smoothly concerning steering work.
