3.3.5. Safety measures in operating time with automatic transmissions
1. The automatic transmission in the block with the main transfer consists of high-precision details that demands careful check before repeated assembly because even small scratch can cause leak of working liquid or affect performance data. Instructions on repair are organized so that you at the same time worked only with one group of elements. It will help to avoid confusion from similar details of various subsystems which are at the same time in your workplace. Survey and repair of groups of elements begins with the party of the case of the converter. Examine, restore and repeatedly collect before you pass to the following group of elements. If at repeated assembly in a certain group of elements defect is found, immediately examine and repair this group. In the absence of an opportunity to bring together group of elements because of need of expectation of the ordered details and continuation of works on dismantling, check, repair and repeated assembly of other groups of elements place all details of group in a separate container.
The recommended working liquid for the automatic transmission: T–IV.
2. All sorted parts have to be washed up, all channels and openings have to be blown by compressed air.
3. Dry up all details compressed air, never use for this purpose rags.
4. When using compressed air never direct a current of air to yourself to prevent casual hit of working liquid or kerosene on the person.
5. For cleaning have to be used the recommended working liquid for automatic transmissions or kerosene.
6. After cleaning of a detail have to be located in the correct order for ensuring effective check, repair and repeated assembly.
7. When dismantling the case of valves provide storage of each valve together with the corresponding spring.
8. New disks for brake mechanisms and couplings which will be used for replacement before repeated assembly have to be placed in the container with working liquid, at least, for 15 min.
9. All sealing rings, clutch plates, coupling plates, the rotating parts and the surfaces of friction before repeated assembly have to be covered with working liquid.
10. All laying and rubber sealing rings have to be replaced by new.
11. You do not apply sealants on laying and similar details.
12. Make sure that the ends of a spring ring do not coincide with one of cuts and are established in deepening correctly.
13. When replacing the worn-out plug the subsystem containing this plug also has to be replaced.
14. Check persistent bearings and their paths for existence of wear or damages. Replace in case of need.
15. Use vaseline for mutual fixing of details.
16. During the work with material of the laying which is finally formed in working situation you have to execute the following.
Using an edge and a scraper, remove all old pro-masonry material from the condensed surface.
Carefully clear all elements of the removed pro-masonry material. Clear both condensed surfaces the solvent which is not leaving marks.
Repeated assembly has to be carried out within 10 min. after imposing of pro-masonry material on the condensed surface. Otherwise pro-masonry material has to be removed and replaced by new.
