3.3.14.2. Check of gaps of the oil pump

Fig. 3.112. Measurement of a gap between the conducted gear wheel and the case of a shaft of the stator

Drive the conducted gear wheel into the corner of the case. Using the probe, measure a gap between the conducted gear wheel and the case of a shaft of the stator (fig. 3.112).
Standard gap: 0,10–0,17 mm.
Maximum gap: 0,17 mm.
If the gap is more than maximum, replace the case of the oil pump.

Fig. 3.113. Measurement of a gap between heads of teeths in the leader and conducted gear wheels

Measure a gap between heads of teeths of the leader and conducted gear wheels (fig. 3.113).
Standard gap between heads of teeths: 0,07–0,15 mm.
The maximum gap between heads of teeths: 0,15 mm.
If the gap between heads of teeths is more than maximum, replace the case of the oil pump.

Fig. 3.114. Measurement of a side gap of both gear wheels

Using a testing ruler and the probe, measure a side gap of both gear wheels (fig. 3.114).
Standard side gap: 0,02–0,05 mm.
Maximum side gap: 0,05 mm.
