Measure by the dial indicator an axial side play of a bent shaft, moving the last "back – forward" by means of the screw-driver (fig. 2.324).

Standard axial side play – 0,04–0,24 mm.

The maximum axial side play – 0,30 mm.

If the axial side play is more than most admissible, replace persistent half rings.

Thickness of persistent half rings – 1,93–1,98 mm.
