Install both camshafts in a block head, without establishing an auxiliary gear wheel of the drive of the camshaft of final valves. Measure by the dial indicator a gap in gear gearing (fig. 2.282).

Nominal gap – 0,02–0,20 mm;

The maximum gap – 0,30 mm.

If the gap is more than maximum, replace camshafts.
