Do not bend and do not overwind a GRM drive belt. Do not allow contact of a gear belt with oil or water. Do not stretch a GRM drive belt at installation or removal of the cogged pulley of the camshaft (fig. 2.239).

Check a GRM drive belt for existence of defects.

Check correctness of installation of a belt of the GRM drive. Check laying of covers of a gear belt for damages and correctness of installation. If belt teeths are damaged or cracked, check whether got jammed the camshaft. If considerable wear on not the working (external) party of a belt is observed, check whether there are no notches on a roller of a natyazhitel, an intermediate pulley and a pulley of the drive of the pump of cooling liquid. If wear or damages only on one face party of a belt are found, check a guide of a belt and correctness of an arrangement of pulleys. If teeths of a belt are considerably worn-out, check a cover of a gear belt for damages, laying on correctness of installation and check whether there are no foreign debris on belt teeths. If it is necessary, replace a GRM drive belt.

Attentively examine and check a roller-natyazhitel and an intermediate pulley. Check whether there is no leak of oil through consolidation of a roller-natyazhitelya. If consolidation is damaged, replace a roller-natyazhitel. Check, the roller-natyazhitel and an intermediate pulley how smoothly rotates. If necessary replace a roller-natyazhitel and an intermediate pulley. Check a natyazhitel. Check whether there is no leak of oil through consolidation of a natyazhitel. Holding a natyazhitel both hands, strongly press on a rod. If the rod does not move, all are normal. If the rod moves, replace a natyazhitel.

ATTENTION Do not direct a rod of a natyazhitel down.

Measure as far as the rod of a natyazhitel acts.

Nominal vystupaniye – 70,0–10,8 mm

If the rod acts on bigger or smaller value, replace a natyazhitel.
