Rods (fig. 2.184) are made of high-strength steel for decrease in weight. Conrod bearings – aluminum with a covering. Conrod bolts with the inhaling moment in a plasticity zone are used. The interfaced surfaces of a rod and a cover have openings for adjusting pins to minimize shift of conrod covers at assembly.
