In a usual throttle branch pipe opening of a butterfly valve unambiguously is defined by effort to pedals of management of fuel supply. On the contrary, in the ETCS-i system the electronic control unit of the engine counts an optimum angle of opening of a butterfly valve which corresponds to traffic conditions, and uses the electric motor of the drive of a butterfly valve to operate its opening. The cable and the lever of the drive of a butterfly valve were removed, and the sensor of situation is installed on a pedal of management of fuel supply.
