1.6.3.5. Check of pressure in tires

Support pressure in tires at appropriate level.
It is necessary to check pressure in tires each two weeks or, at least, once a month. Do not forget to check pressure in the tire of a spare wheel!
Inappropriate pressure in tires can lead to decrease in fuel profitability, deterioration in comfort of driving, reduction of service life of tires and to reduce safety of the car when driving.
If the tire demands frequent pumping, check this tire at your dealer of Toyota.
When checking pressure in tires observe the following instructions:
– execute check of pressure surely at cold tires. You receive exact value of pressure in the cold tire if the car was stopped, at least, on 3 h, then passed no more than 1,5 km;
– surely use the manometer for check of pressure in tires. Appearance of the tire can be deceptive. Besides, even at a small deviation of pressure from norm, riding qualities and controllability of the car worsen.
– do not let out the air and do not reduce pressure in the tire after completion of driving. For the tire increase in pressure after driving is normal;
– surely establish into place caps of valves of tires. Without cap in the valve dirt or moisture can get and to cause air leak. In case of loss of caps it is necessary to establish new caps as soon as possible.
Support normal pressure in tires. Otherwise the states provided below can become a cause of accident that will lead to serious injuries or death. Low pressure in tires (insufficiently rolled tire):
– the increased wear;
– uneven wear;
– bad controllability;
– increase in probability of a rupture of the tire because of an overheat;
– bad consolidation of a board of the tire;
– deformation of a disk of a wheel and/or office of the tire.
High pressure in tires (the pumped-over tire):
– bad controllability;
– the increased wear;
– uneven wear;
– increase in probability of damage of the tire on the road.
