If the car is required to be towed off, Toyota is recommended to address your dealer or to use services of specialized service of towage. Consult with them what of ways – and or b – is better to tow your car.

To prevent damage of the car during towage, use the corresponding equipment. The wrong towage can become the reason of damage of the car. In spite of the fact that most specialized services are able to carry out correctly towage, there is a possibility of a mistake. It is necessary to take the following precautionary measures for prevention of damage of the car.

At towage always use system of chains of safety and observe requirements of the national/regional and local legislation. Wheels and an axis on soil have to be in good shape. If they are damaged, use the towing cart.

a) Towage by truck with a raising of wheels.

In front – release the parking brake.

Behind – the mechanical transmission – is recommended to put forward wheels of the car on the towing cart. If the towing cart is not used, install the ignition key in the provision of "ASS", and the transmission in neutral situation.

ATTENTION Never tow the car with the automatic transmission, having hooked on it behind (forward wheels on the earth) as it can lead to serious damage of the transmission.

b) Use of the truck with a bezbortny platform.

c) Towage by truck with use of a strapping.

ATTENTION Towage by truck with use of a strapping with gearing of the car both in front, and behind, is forbidden. It can lead to damage of a body of the car.
