Release a pedal of the parking brake system (fig. 1.140).

At the working engine press a pedal and measure pedal course stock size, as shown.

Cars with the left arrangement of steering: a pedal course stock to a floor at 490 N (50 kgfs) – more than 63 mm.

Cars with the right arrangement of steering: a pedal course stock to a floor at 490 N (50 kgfs) – more than 70 mm.

If it not so, look for malfunction in the brake system.
