1. Close a headlight or separate the corresponding electric socket to prevent influence of light of a headlight which is not checked at present, for a headlight which check of adjustment is made.

ATTENTION You do not hold a headlight closed within more than 3 min. The lens of a headlight is made of synthetic polymer, and can easily be melted off or sustain damage owing to heating.

When checking lamps of driving beam close a lamp of passing beam or separate the corresponding socket.

2. Start the engine. At the same time the frequency of rotation of the crankshaft of the engine has to make not less than 1 500 ^min.-1.

3. Install the switch of the proofreader of headlights in situation 0 (zero).

4. Include a headlight and make sure that the border of light spots of headlights gets to the area shown in the figure 1.59.

Data for adjustment are given below.

Distance to the screen – 25 m.

the border of light spots of headlights from 48 to 696 mm is lower than the line H for passing beam.

Distance to the screen – 3 m.

the border of light spots of headlights is from 6 mm to 84 mm lower than the line H for passing beam.

Distance to the screen – 25 m.

the border of light spots of headlights is 249 mm lower than the line H for passing beam.

Distance to the screen – 3 m.

The border of light spots of headlights is 30 mm lower than the line H with for passing beam.

As passing beam and driving beam are integrated in a headlight, if passing beam is adjusted correctly, and distant has to be adjusted correctly. However, check both headlights to make sure of correctness of adjustment.
