The tachometer shows engine speed in thousands of rpm (mines-1 – revolutions per minute) (fig. 1.52). Consider indications of a tachometer at the choice of the moment of gear shifting and prevention of operation of the engine on too low or too high turns.
Driving on too high turns of the engine results in the increased wear of the engine and decrease in fuel profitability. Remember that in most cases, the engine speed is less, the fuel profitability is higher.

Do not assume that the arrow of the indicator got to a red zone. It can lead to considerable damage of the engine.
