1.2.2.2. Index of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine

Fig. 1.51. Index of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine

This index shows temperature of cooling liquid of the engine at the included ignition (fig. 1.51). Working temperature of the engine changes depending on weather and loading of the engine.
If the arrow of the index in a red zone, means the engine overheated. In case of an overheat stop the car and let's the engine cool down.
The car overheats under trying conditions operation, such as:
– long rise in hot weather;
– reduction of speed or a stop after driving at a high speed;
– long work idling with the switched-on conditioner at the movement with frequent stops;
– at towage of the trailer.

ATTENTION
Do not remove the thermostat in the engine cooling system as it can lead to an engine overheat. The thermostat is intended for regulation of a stream of cooling liquid for the purpose of maintenance of temperature of the engine within the established working range.

In case of an overheat of the engine stop the car.
